Old family-run cafe. Very famous, unfriendly waiters are part of the scene as much as the smoke and the regulars. Evenings are amazing, ask for Buchtel.
This artist’s café is more – it’s a Viennese institution. Gourmets recognize the Hawelka - especially after 10 pm - by the wonderful smell of Buchteln, yeast buns filled with jam.

There is no menu, but there is a special baked things - buchteln like donuts with jam. It's very delicious, and serve fresh-baked!
If you are wandering around the streets of Vienna its a hidden gem, if you are searching for it you already know it;)

Since July 2010 the hawelka is a non-smoking Café. The the waiters are not at all unfriendly. I think they are a bit too "sweet". ;-)

Dieses Künstler-Café ist mehr – es ist eine Wiener Institution. Feine Nasen erkennen das Hawelka am Geruch, vor allem ab 22 Uhr, wenn dort frische Buchteln serviert werden.

Buchteln müssen probiert werden. Von wegen Raucherraum und unfreundliche Kellner. Zu mir waren sie sehr nett und die Raucher mussten vor die Tür!

sıcaklığı, tarihi dokusu ile büyüleyici bir mekân. duvarlardaki resimlere tek tek göz atın. elmalı ştrüdel ve kahve sevenler için ideal. fiyatlar viyana ölçeğinde azıcık pahalı ama kesinlikle değer!
Tolles traditionsreiches Café mit Kellnern, die den Wiener Kaffeehaus Grant perfekt drauf haben. Ab 22 Uhr gibt es leckere Buchteln - unbedingt mal essen!
